Because this album is magic. The sound of his deep voice combined with the woman's high voice, and the soothing piano melody leading them. This song in particular because the lyrics have a deeper meaning. It's a pity we had to lose yet another great musician to the claws of death.

This is one of the most, if not the most brilliant piece Pärt has ever written. He created an entirely new composing technique, demonstrated best in this particular piece, and I firmly belief he could be regarded as one of the most crucial composers of our time. I posted it before on my own blog, so i'm sorry if you've seen me use it before. I do have to add that this performance is not really the best one available, but the other on restricts embedding so this'll have to do :)

Lovely, learning about big recordcompanies. Anyways, just saw 'The Making of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band', which made me think of this great performance of Paul McCartney (and his quite brilliant band, I love his drummer. Not as in guylove. Close, but no cigar.) So yeah, enjoy.
